My trip to Kroger, 12/15/10 - 68% Savings!
I bought:
4 Silk Almond milks @ 2.49 each (sale price)
3 Hunt's Diced tomatoes @ $1.49 each (sale price)
1 Mom's best cereal @ $1.49 (sale price)
2 Advil @ $3.00 each (sale price)
These items were in the mega 10 event. (Today was the last day!)
I saved:
$5.00 off total, mega event sale
Coupons used:
2 Advil (12/12/10 SS) @ $2.00 each
4 Silk Almond Milk printable @ .75 cents each
1 $1.00/3 Hunts Diced Tomatoes
Mom's Natural's Best cereal printable @ .75 cents
Subtotal: $29.12
Total after savings: $9.24 (tax inc.)
Savings of 68%!
*** I have to say, that I allowed this transaction to mess up, because I didn't pay close enough attention. I had 2 Advil coupons, making the Advil on sale for .50 cents. The only reason I bought it! She only rang up one coupon, so really, this total should be 2 dollar's cheaper. Oh well, live and learn, right? Also, I bought Almond Milk coupons online, only they haven't arrived yet. It's the mails fault, the girl mailed them on time. But that's a bummer, I bought them for this sale! They were $2.00/2. Jay and I really love the Almond milk, and it's only 60 calories a cup! (the real reason I love it!) Also, I picked up the cereal because with the coupon and mega sale price, it was .24 cents. Can't beat that!
Anyway, I guess in the end I still saved a bundle, and every little bit helps!

My trip to Wal-Green's, 12/14/10 - Cost $1.94
I bought:
1 Active on Pain relief @ $7.99
1 Goody hair bands @ $2.00
2 Reese Tree's @ $1.50
Total with tax: $11.94
Paid with:
$5.00 Jingle Cash
$5.00 RR from Hallmark
Total out of pocket: $1.94 (tax and Reese's)
Recieved:
1 $7.99 RR for the Active On
1 $2.00 RR for the Goody bands
*I didn't really see myself needing the Active On. But I needed a way to roll my Jingle Cash over so I didn't lose it, since there was nothing else that I needed at Wal-Green's this week. This was a way for me to spend my $10 RR's and get $10 RR's back. Changing the expiration date! (oh, and the Reese's are for my hubby's stocking! ;)

My very first post!
This blog is my attempt to share with friends and family the benefits of using coupons and shopping sales. I'm very new to all of this, and am learning more and more every day. I do not claim to be an expert! Just a very excited learner that wants to pass on the things I learn along the way. Everyone needs to save a few bucks these days, this is my attempt to help!
